Apps for iPhone and Android, built around how your business already works.

I build apps for small businesses: private apps for your own team, and apps your customers download. Each one connects to your website and the tools you already use, at a fixed price quoted in writing.

When an app is worth it.

Most small businesses don't need an app. Some really do.

A fast website that opens from an icon on the home screen covers a lot, and I'll say so when it's enough. An app earns its keep when you need alerts on the lock screen, something your team opens many times a day, or features a website can't handle well on a phone, like working offline on a job site.

What I build.

Two kinds of apps, both connected to the rest of your business.

  • Private apps for your team. Your dashboard, job list or schedule on everyone's phone, with alerts when something needs attention. Only your own people can download it.
  • Apps for your customers. Booking, accounts, updates or content, published on the App Store and Google Play.
  • Connected, not bolted on. The app works from the same systems as your website and your automations, so nothing gets typed twice.
  • AI where it helps. An assistant that knows your business, or a summary that writes itself, when it saves real time.

Apps I've built and run.

I build apps for my own products, so I know what it takes to keep one running.

Trade Journal AI has an iPhone app on the App Store, with an AI Coach built on Anthropic's Claude. The same approach goes into a smaller app for your business: one codebase for iPhone and Android, tested on real phones, and handed over with written instructions.

How it works.

The same terms as everything else I do.

A free 30-minute call, then a written scope and a fixed price before I start. 50% to start and 50% at launch, two revision rounds, and anything outside the scope quoted in writing first. Apple and Google charge their own developer fees, and I'll tell you what they are before we begin.

Common questions

Before you reach out.

If yours isn't here, just ask. I reply personally within one business day.

How much does an app cost?
It depends on what the app does, so I quote a fixed price in writing after a free 30-minute call. A private app that puts your dashboard and alerts on your team's phones is a small project. A customer app with accounts, bookings or payments is a bigger one. Either way, you know the price before I start, and anything outside the scope is quoted in writing first.
iPhone, Android, or both?
Usually both. I build from one codebase that runs on iPhone and Android, so you aren't paying for the same app twice. If your whole team is on one kind of phone, we can start there.
Do I need an app, or is a website enough?
Often a website is enough, and I'll tell you if it is. A fast site that opens from an icon on the home screen covers a lot. An app is worth it when you need alerts on the lock screen, something your team opens many times a day, or features a website can't do well on a phone.
Can the app work with my website and the software I already use?
Yes. That's the point of building it with the same person who builds your site and your automations. The app reads from the same systems, like QuickBooks, Google Workspace or your own database, so nothing gets typed twice.
Who handles the App Store and Google Play?
I do the build, the testing and the store submission, and I walk you through getting it onto everyone's phone. A private company app can be set up so only your own people can download it.
