Terms, in plain English.
Last updated: October 2, 2026
These terms apply to work done by P27 Design. P27 Design is a business of Hardegree LLC, run by Adam Hardegree and based in Orange Park, Florida. They also cover your use of this website and its chat assistant. When we agree on a proposal, these terms are the baseline for how we work together. A specific written proposal or statement of work overrides these terms where they conflict.
Proposals, pricing, and scope
Every project is a fixed price in writing. The proposal lists what's included, what's not, the timeline, and the price. Once you approve it and pay the deposit, I reserve time on my calendar and begin work.
Anything outside the agreed scope (new pages, new features, extra revision rounds) is quoted in writing before any work on it starts. Nothing gets added to your bill without your written OK. No surprise hourly bills.
My hourly rate is $125/hour. I use it only for consultations, out-of-scope work you've approved in writing, and time worked before a mid-project cancellation.
Payment
Projects: a 50% deposit to start, and the other 50% at launch.
Fixed-price services bought through a Stripe payment link on this site, like the $750 AI workflow audit, are paid in full up front. Paying through one of those links means you agree to these terms.
Monthly plans (the care plan and retainers such as SEO, PPC, blog writing, AI coaching, and the AgentEdge monthly plans) bill monthly in advance.
Invoices are due within 15 days. If an invoice is more than 14 days past due, I may pause work until it's paid. Invoices more than 30 days past due may accrue a 1.5% monthly late fee.
Monthly plans and canceling them
The care plan and every retainer are month to month, with no long-term contract. You can cancel anytime. Service runs to the end of the month you've already paid for, and I don't bill you for the next one.
The care plan (Web Hosting & Maintenance)
The care plan includes:
- Hosting on a managed server
- SSL certificate
- Domain and DNS management
- Automated backups
- Software and security updates
- Uptime monitoring
- Up to 30 minutes of content edits a month
- Email support
Work beyond that, like new pages or a redesign, is quoted in writing before it starts.
Revisions
Each project includes two rounds of revisions. Rounds beyond that are out of scope, so I quote them in writing before I start them.
Timeline
Most multi-page sites launch in 4 to 6 weeks, and a one-page starter site in about 3 weeks. Your proposal gives the timeline for your project.
Timelines assume you'll provide requested content, feedback, and approvals within 5 business days of each request. If responses take longer, your launch date shifts accordingly.
Response times
I reply to messages within one business day, Monday to Friday, 8 to 5 Eastern. I don't promise weekend or after-hours replies. Care-plan clients can text me for real emergencies, like the site being down.
AI tools and AI output
Custom GPTs, prompts, chat assistants, and automations I set up produce AI-generated drafts and answers, and AI can get things wrong. You review AI output and are responsible for it before you use it, publish it, or send it.
Third-party tools and costs
Third-party tools and subscriptions are your cost, paid to those providers, unless your proposal or plan includes them. Examples include AI subscriptions like ChatGPT, automation platforms like Zapier or Make, paid plugins or apps, and ad spend. (The care plan includes hosting.) Those tools run under their own terms, and I'm not responsible for their outages, price changes, or policy changes.
SEO and ads: no guaranteed results
I don't guarantee search rankings, traffic, leads, or ad results. Google and the ad platforms control those, and results depend on many things outside my control. What I commit to is the work described in your proposal or plan.
Ownership and intellectual property
Once the project is paid in full, you own the final deliverables: the designs, the code, the logo files, the brand book, the written content. They're yours to use, modify, and keep.
I retain the right to display your project in my portfolio (on this website, in proposals, on social media) unless we agree otherwise in writing.
I also retain ownership of my own pre-existing work (templates, tools, or frameworks I built before your project), and I grant you a perpetual license to use them as embedded in your deliverables.
If you leave
If you stop working with me, you own everything I've made for you that's been paid for, and I hand over access: your files, your domain, your hosting, and any accounts I set up for you.
Client responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information, content, and feedback in a reasonable timeframe
- Have the legal right to any materials (photos, copy, brand assets) you provide me
- Review AI output before you use it
- Pay invoices on schedule
- Communicate directly: if something isn't working, tell me
My responsibilities
I agree to:
- Deliver the scope described in the proposal, on or around the agreed timeline
- Keep you informed of progress and any changes
- Reply to messages within one business day, Monday to Friday, 8 to 5 Eastern
- Be honest. If something I promised isn't going to work, I'll tell you before you find out the hard way
Canceling a project, and refunds
Either of us can cancel a project at any time with written notice.
If you cancel before I've started substantive work, I'll refund your deposit minus any time already spent on discovery.
If you cancel mid-project, you're billed for time worked to that point at $125/hour. Any remaining deposit is refunded or applied against that bill.
If I cancel (rare, usually only if the project becomes impossible to deliver as scoped), I refund the deposit in full and help you transition to another provider.
AI workflow audit guarantee: if the written plan doesn't show at least 3 hours a week your business can win back, I refund the $750.
Monthly plans are covered under "Monthly plans and canceling them" above.
Warranty and liability
I warrant that deliverables will function as described in the proposal for 30 days after launch. Bugs that are my mistake, I fix for free. Feature requests or changes after that 30-day window become new work.
I'm not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profit damages. My maximum liability on any claim is capped at the total fees you've paid me on the project in question.
Confidentiality
Anything you share with me in the course of a project is confidential. I won't share it with outside parties without your permission. (Displaying a public-facing version of your brand and website in my portfolio is not a confidentiality breach.)
Using this website and the chat assistant
You're welcome to browse the site and use the chat assistant. Please don't try to break, overload, or get around the site's or the chat's security or limits, scrape the site or the chat in bulk, or use the chat to send spam or harmful or illegal content. I may block access that breaks these rules.
The chat assistant is a demo, and its answers can be wrong. The prices and terms on this site's pages and in your written proposal are what count, not what the chat says. See the privacy policy for how chat messages are handled.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Duval County, Florida.
Disputes
Before any legal action, we both agree to spend 30 days trying to work it out in good faith over email or phone. Most things resolve that way.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect 30 days after posting and don't apply retroactively to proposals already signed.
